Controls when a modified file-backed loaded stream spills to an owned temporary file instead of a memory stream

Read-only access stays on the original source-file range and does not materialize the full stream
The first write or resize materializes streams at or below the threshold in memory
Larger streams use an owned compressed block stream whose temporary file is deleted with the stream object
A bounded background queue batches complete blocks while foreground producers continue until the queue reaches its memory limit
A zero threshold sends every non-empty modified loaded stream to disk
Negative values raise ERangeError
