Matches locale names without case sensitivity and treats underscores and hyphens as equivalent

Reads monthNames, dayNames and meridiemNames from calendarSymbols, plus datePatterns, timePatterns, numberPatterns, numberSymbols and currencySymbols

An embedded locale inherits missing values from its installed system locale, or from en_US when its name has no system locale

A nil document or an absent matching embedded locale delegates to HPDFXFALoadLocale

When an embedded medium date/time pattern is supplied without an explicit default, the default style inherits that medium pattern

Standard pattern names use med for the medium style and omit the name to select medium; medium is also accepted as an extension
