Description

Returns the UTF-16 length of the normalized selection of the active edit

The length is derived from the absolute distance between SelectionAnchor and SelectionCaret, so it is independent of the selection direction

Selection edits and replacement operations read this length when computing the affected text range

Returns the number of selected UTF-16 code units, or zero when the selection is collapsed or no edit is active
