Description

Returns the zero-based UTF-16 index of the moving caret edge of the directed selection of the active edit

The caret follows shift-navigation, visual caret moves, undo and redo, while the anchor remains fixed, which preserves the original selection direction

After an accepted selection replacement the caret collapses to the end of the inserted replacement text
