Description

Parses an FDF /Annots array held in memory and inserts each entry as a new annotation on the matching page of the selected PDF document. The accepted input is the FDF subset written by Acrobat with Export Comments to FDF and produced by ExportAnnotationsToFDFString

Parameters

FDF	The raw FDF content containing an /Annots array of annotation entries

Return values

>= 0	The number of annotations added to the document; entries skipped because their /Page is outside the document or they have no /Subtype are not counted

Remarks

Each imported entry restores /Subtype, /Contents, /Rect, /T (author), /Subj and the 0-based /Page index; other FDF keys such as /C (color) are ignored. Entries whose /Page falls outside the document are skipped, and existing annotations are left untouched, so importing merges rather than replaces. Use ImportAnnotationsFromFDF to read the FDF from a file instead
