Description

Selects PDF/E-1 engineering document authoring for a new document and activates strict validation before every save

Parameters

NewMode	`1` selects PDF/E-1

Return value

1 when the mode was selected, otherwise 0

Remarks

The mode is available only for a new document, selects PDF 1.6, writes the required Info and XMP identification and lifecycle properties, and creates an embedded DeviceRGB PDF/E output intent

PDF/E mode is mutually exclusive with PDF/A, PDF/X, PDF/VT, PDF/VCR, PDF/R, PDF/UA and WTPDF workflows

JavaScript and ImportData actions are rejected while the mode is active; saving fails with LastErrorCode 609 when identification, lifecycle metadata, encryption, output intents, XFA or alternate presentations are inconsistent; use compliance test 7 for the complete file audit
