Te API-je uporabite, kadar potek oblikovanja izpiše ID-je glifov, ki niso dosegljivi prek običajnega vnosa Unicode cmap. Sintetične kode točk usmerjajo upodabljanje skozi CIDToGIDMap, povratne preslikave pa obnovijo izvirne izvorne kode točk za izpis besedila
