sfIndicShaping vykonáva iba znovusporiadanie výstupu a zostáva konzervatívnou voľbou. sfIndicGSUB znovu usporiada každú slabiku, aplikuje reťazec funkcií OpenType Indic, zapisuje vytvarované GID cez syntetické codepointy a pri nedostatku príslušného skriptu GSUB vo fonte prechádza na cestu znovusporiadania
