• The effective size is aligned to the operating-system allocation granularity
• With adaptive geometry enabled, this value and LocalFileMappingCacheWindows define a fixed total mapped-byte limit that can be redistributed across active windows
• Cross-window reads are copied in bounded segments
• Values below 64 KiB raise ERangeError
