THotPDF.GetFormFieldValue Method
Reads a loaded field's current value, resolving indirect objects and inherited /V entries through its parent fields

Return value
Returns the existing AnsiString representation of a scalar value; missing values and non-scalar values return an empty string
Usage notes
- The nearest field entry applies, including an explicitly empty local string
- Both overloads raise an exception when the target field does not exist
- Bulk value and name/value-pair helpers use the same effective values
- String bytes and hexadecimal string notation retain the existing raw-value convention
- This scalar getter does not serialize multi-selection arrays or signature dictionaries
