THotPDF.ExportLoadedAnnotationsToXFDF Method

Exports loaded annotations to an XML Forms Data Format (XFDF) file using the supported ISO 19444-1 annotation elements: text, freetext, line, square, circle, polygon, polyline, highlight, underline, strikeout, squiggly, stamp, ink, caret, fileattachment, sound, link and redact

Line annotations write full start and end coordinate pairs with endpoint styles, leader length, leader extension, caption placement and caption offset attributes, polygon and polyline annotations write the standard <vertices> child, ink annotations write <inklist> with one or more <gesture> children, text annotations write reply relationship attributes, stamp annotations write icon and rotation attributes, link and redaction annotations write coords, link annotations write BorderStyleAlt children for Border arrays, FreeText annotations write default style, default appearance, rotation, justification and tail intent, square, circle and caret annotations write fringe geometry, caret annotations write default appearance data, annotation rich text is written as <contents-richtext>, and standard interior color, border style or cloudy border effect attributes are preserved when present

Plain-text contents, default style, default appearance, geometry text, and encoded attachment data are written without inserting XML formatting whitespace into their text elements; significant spaces, tabs, and line breaks in plain text are preserved

Parameters

AFileName: TFileName

The output file name where the XFDF annotation data will be saved

Return Value

Returns the number of supported annotations written to the XFDF file. Unsupported annotation subtypes are skipped and a zero count leaves no output file
