THPDFSignatureTimeValidity Type
Compares the evaluation time against the signer certificate validity window
Declaration
THPDFSignatureTimeValidity= (
stvUnknown,
stvValid,
stvNotYetValid,
stvExpired,
stvInvalidRange,
stvSigningTimeOutsideCertificate
);
Unit
HPDFSignVerify
Values
| Value | Purpose |
|---|---|
stvUnknown | The certificate carries no usable notBefore/notAfter pair, so no time comparison is possible |
stvValid | The evaluation time lies inside the certificate validity window |
stvNotYetValid | The evaluation time is earlier than the certificate's notBefore |
stvExpired | The evaluation time is later than the certificate's notAfter |
stvInvalidRange | The certificate's notBefore is later than its notAfter, so the window itself is broken |
stvSigningTimeOutsideCertificate | The embedded signing time falls outside the certificate validity window even though the evaluation time is fine |
Usage notes
- Certificate validity is reported separately from the cryptographic signature status so existing
svValidcallers keep their meaning stvUnknownmeans the certificate exposes no validity dates, not that the check was skipped- Passing zero as the evaluation time makes the check use the current time
