THPDFEmbeddedTargetKind Type
Selects how one entry in a GoToE embedded-document target path addresses its destination
Declaration
THPDFEmbeddedTargetKind= (etkParent, etkChildByName,
etkChildByAnnotationIndex, etkChildByAnnotationName);
Unit
HPDFDoc
Values
| Value | Purpose |
|---|---|
etkParent | Parent-document step of the path; serialization emits only the /R key with value /P and no targeting data |
etkChildByName | Child document selected through an EmbeddedFiles name-tree entry; EmbeddedFileName becomes the /N string next to /R /C |
etkChildByAnnotationIndex | Child document reached through a file-attachment annotation addressed by page index plus annotation index, written as the numeric /P and /A entries |
etkChildByAnnotationName | Child document reached through a file-attachment annotation addressed by page name plus annotation name, written as the /P and /A strings |
Usage notes
- Build target paths with the
HPDFEmbeddedParentTarget,HPDFEmbeddedFileTarget, andHPDFEmbeddedAnnotationTargethelpers so each entry fills only the fields its kind reads - Serialization raises an exception when a child entry leaves the fields required by its kind empty, such as an empty
EmbeddedFileNameunderetkChildByName - The path serializes from the last entry backwards, nesting each step under the previous entry's
/Tkey to form the ordered chain
