Usage notes

Width must match the range byte width, and every corresponding byte must be inside the lower and upper byte bounds

A packed integer lying between range endpoints can still be outside the codespace; leading zero bytes remain significant through Width

Range traversal polls the active work callback and does not change the parsed map
