The importer accepts standard ISO 19444-1 structures such as <vertices> for polygon and polyline annotations, <inklist><gesture> for ink annotations, line start and end coordinate pairs with endpoint styles, leader length, leaderExtended or compatible leaderExtend, caption placement and caption offsets, markup, link and redaction coords, text annotation reply relationships, stamp icon and rotation attributes, link BorderStyleAlt children, FreeText style and appearance children, rotation, justification and tail intent, square, circle and caret fringe geometry, caret default appearance data, interior color, border style and cloudy border effect attributes, annotation <contents-richtext> and <popup> children, fileattachment and sound <data>, redaction overlay attributes, and link <OnActivation> actions
Syntax
function ImportLoadedAnnotationsFromXFDF(const AFileName: TFileName): Integer;
Parameters
- AFileName: TFileName
- The file name of the XFDF annotation data to import
Return Value
Returns the number of annotations successfully imported. Missing files, malformed XFDF, unsupported elements and incomplete annotation entries return zero for those entries
Authenticated current revisions
Modern Windows imports validate Standard-handler user permissions, the current dirty graph, CMS integrity, DocMDP and FieldMDP locks before committing an actual annotation change
An ordinary authenticated load retains a private document-bound credential context, so permitted dirty AES imports do not require a second password
Policy rejection, budget exhaustion or cancellation raises an exception and rolls back the import whilst preserving earlier caller edits
The mapped link profile includes remote GoToR file and destination data without executing the action
