THotPDF.ExtractVisibleLoadedPageGlyphs Method
Extracts the glyphs of a loaded page that sit inside the page's visible box, so text output agrees with what the page actually shows
Declaration
function ExtractVisibleLoadedPageGlyphs(PageIndex: Integer;
out Glyphs: THPDFGlyphArray): boolean;
Unit
HPDFDoc
Parameters
| Name | Purpose |
|---|---|
PageIndex | Zero-based index of the loaded page |
Glyphs | Receives the visible glyph records together with their quad coordinates |
Return value
True when the page's glyphs were extracted, otherwise False
Usage notes
- Keeps only glyphs whose quad centre lies inside the visible box (the crop box within the media box), so the printer's marks of a trimmed page stay out of text output
ExtractLoadedPageGlyphsstill returns every glyph should the full placement record be needed- This is the extraction step behind the page text, semantic text and layout methods, which is why trimmed-page output no longer carries off-page marks
