- Use this API in the Tagged PDF accessibility workflow before the affected page, resource, field or catalog object is finalised
- Keep object names, field names, resource names and returned handles stable until the document is finalised
- Keep begin and end calls balanced, provide alternate text for non-text content and attach MCID values to the right page content
