THPDFWindowsFormDataTransaction.ImportAnnotationsFDF

procedure ImportAnnotationsFDF(const Bytes: SysUtils.TBytes;
  const Options: THPDFFDFOptions; const Password: AnsiString);

Prepare one independent candidate from the bounded binary FDF annotation graph without changing the borrowed document

A matching nonempty NM on the same page selects an existing annotation for replacement; unnamed or unmatched annotations are appended, whilst ambiguous names fail before publication

Appearance resource sharing and explicit local GoTo page membership are preserved through actual graph preparation; nonempty Fields and embedded document Differences are rejected by this annotation-only method

Repeat the authenticated password for encrypted input, and set Options.CancellationToken to nil or to the transaction token; encryption roles, signature integrity, DocMDP and FieldMDP admission remain enforced

Use WritePreparedPDF to copy the candidate, then call TakeCandidate only once every required publication step has succeeded; cancellation or failure means discarding the transaction

ChangedAnnotations counts actual replacements and appends; an equivalent import reports zero and retains the exact current revision; the transaction can prepare only one candidate
