Bounds structural comparison work, memory growth, stream hashing, stable paths and retained results

Fields

• MaxObjects limits queued indirect objects
• MaxEdges limits followed indirect references
• MaxPages limits aligned page snapshots
• MaxDepth limits nested direct arrays and dictionaries
• MaxDifferences limits retained difference objects whilst preserving the total count
• MaxStreamBytes limits bytes hashed from one stream
• MaxTotalStreamBytes limits stream bytes hashed per document snapshot
• MaxValueBytes limits bytes hashed from one string, name or dictionary key
• MaxPathBytes limits stable path length and appends a SHA-256 suffix when shortened
• CancellationToken optionally requests cooperative cancellation
• Checkpoint optionally checks caller cancellation and budgets at page, object, stream-block, rendering-object, pixel-row and alignment boundaries; exceptions propagate to the caller
• MaxResultBytes bounds serialised JSON before allocation using a conservative escaped-size estimate

Default values

Default returns 250,000 objects, 2,000,000 edges, 250,000 pages, depth 128, 10,000 retained differences, 64 MiB per stream, 512 MiB total stream bytes, 1 MiB per value and 4,096 path bytes

Traversal, stream hashing, value hashing, rendering and retained-difference truncation set comparisonComplete=false and identical=false ; a result-byte overflow raises EHPDFJobBudgetExceeded with metric resultBytes

Non-positive caller values are replaced by their default values
