THPDFSignatureTimeValidity Type
Compares the evaluation time with the validity window of the signer certificate
Declaration
THPDFSignatureTimeValidity= (
stvUnknown,
stvValid,
stvNotYetValid,
stvExpired,
stvInvalidRange,
stvSigningTimeOutsideCertificate
);
Unit
HPDFSignVerify
Values
| Value | Purpose |
|---|---|
stvUnknown | The certificate carries no usable notBefore/notAfter pair, so no time comparison can be made |
stvValid | The evaluation time lies within the certificate validity window |
stvNotYetValid | The evaluation time falls before the certificate's notBefore |
stvExpired | The evaluation time falls after the certificate's notAfter |
stvInvalidRange | The certificate's notBefore comes after its notAfter, so the window itself is broken |
stvSigningTimeOutsideCertificate | The embedded signing time falls outside the certificate validity window even though the evaluation time itself is fine |
Usage notes
- Certificate validity is reported separately from the cryptographic signature status, so existing
svValidcallers keep the meaning they already have stvUnknownmeans the certificate exposes no validity dates, not that the check was skipped over- Pass zero as the evaluation time and the check falls back to the current time
