ICC colour transform seam used by the renderer and by colour-space conversion; TransformColor converts one source colour into 8-bit RGB and TransformBytes converts a contiguous run of pixels in place between the supplied buffers

ComponentCount reports how many components the source profile expects, which indicates how the caller should group the incoming bytes
