Usage notes

Local character and range mappings take priority over inherited characters and ranges, including parent character entries overridden by a child range

The child keeps its own name and writing mode; a parser-created child without WMode stays horizontal

Both maps keep independent array ownership after font-decoder cloning; inherited entry admission and copying use the active bounds and polling callback
