Usage notes

Width must match the range byte width, and every corresponding byte must sit inside the lower and upper byte bounds

A packed integer falling between range endpoints can still be outside the codespace; leading zero bytes stay significant through Width

Range traversal polls the active work callback and leaves the parsed map unchanged
