Met deze functie slaat u custominformatie op in het PDF-document. Dit lijkt op de functie SetCustomInformation, maar de informatie wordt in de Document Catalog opgeslagen in plaats van in de Document Information Dictionary. Metadata hoort in de Document Information Dictionary via SetCustomInformation; private content of structuurinformatie hoort in de Document Catalog via deze functie

De sleutel mag geen Catalog-systeemsleutel zijn die door de library of de PDF-specificatie wordt beheerd. Gereserveerde namen omvatten Type, Version, Extensions, Pages, PageLabels, Names, Dests, ViewerPreferences, OpenAction, AA, AcroForm, Metadata, StructTreeRoot, MarkInfo, Lang, SpiderInfo, OutputIntents, PieceInfo, OCProperties, Perms, Legal, Requirements, Collection en NeedsRendering
