SaveQDFToFile

Debugging, Document manipulation

Description

Saves the current document as a human-editable QDF diagnostic PDF

The output uses readable object formatting, expands common Flate content streams, records original object identifiers by default, and stores every stream length in an independent indirect object so later edits can be repaired

Syntax

Delphi

Function TPDFlib.SaveQDFToFile(Const FileName: WideString; Options: Integer= 0): Integer;

DLL

int DLSaveQDFToFile(int InstanceID, const wchar_t* FileName, int Options);

ActiveX

Function PDFlib::SaveQDFToFile(FileName As String, Options As Long) As Long

Parameters

FileNameThe destination PDF path
OptionsZero for default output or PDF_QDF_OMIT_ORIGINAL_OBJECT_IDS to omit original object identifier comments

Return values

1The QDF file was written
0The document could not be converted or the output could not be written

Remarks

Image streams, predictor-based streams, multi-filter streams, and unknown encodings remain encoded to preserve their binary content

Use RepairQDFFile after editing stream bytes or changing object positions
