SHA384ByteArray

Cryptography

Description

Computes the SHA-384 digest of a byte array and returns it as a fixed-size TPLSHA384Digest value of 48 raw bytes

The hash is produced by the built-in TDCP_sha384 implementation contained in the digest unit, so no CryptoAPI provider is required; an empty array returns the digest of the empty message

Syntax

Delphi

Function SHA384ByteArray(Input: Array Of Byte): TPLSHA384Digest;

Return values

The SHA-384 digest as a TPLSHA384Digest array of 48 raw binary bytes, not hexadecimal text

Remarks

TPLSHA384Digest is declared as Array [0..47] of Byte; the input is hashed in a single update call starting at Input[0], and the final step copies the first six state words into the digest as required by SHA-384 truncation

Example

Digest:= SHA384ByteArray(Data);
