ValidateLinearizationFile
Document inspection, Optimisation
Description
Performs an independent structural audit of a Fast Web View PDF and stores a machine-readable validation report
The audit checks the linearisation dictionary, file length, primary hint range, page-offset and shared-object bit tables, first-page object and byte range, first-page dependency closure, page count, and the main cross-reference entry
Syntax
Delphi
Function TPDFlib.ValidateLinearizationFile(Const InputFileName, Password: WideString): Integer;DLL
int DLValidateLinearizationFile(int InstanceID, const wchar_t* InputFileName, const wchar_t* Password);ActiveX
Function PDFlib::ValidateLinearizationFile(InputFileName As String, Password As String) As LongParameters
| InputFileName | The PDF file to inspect |
|---|---|
| Password | The password required to inspect encrypted hint data, or an empty string |
Return values
| 1 | The file passed every required linearisation and first-page integrity check |
|---|---|
| 0 | The file is missing, unreadable, not linearised, or has at least one invalid linearisation structure |
Remarks
Call GetLinearizationValidationReport after this method to retrieve the JSON result and byte metrics
A failed hint audit does not change normal PDF loading because hint data is treated only as a delivery optimisation
